Take a walk down a trail and you will reach the Doodh Ganga River because the frothy water resembles milk in motion. The Town of Charar-e-Sharief is close by and you visit the holy Sufi shrine here and ask for a blessing.

If Yousmarg wears a cloak of green, then Gulmarg is a virginal maiden in white. It is the Switzerland of India and gives you some lovely views, especially if you two get into an aerial gondola and ride across the valley. The view is just magical. You can also go skiing or take time off to wander away and commune with nature. Nature is so conducive to love as you will find.

Patnitop in Jammu region is another destination for honeymooners, just 100 km from Jammu Tawi railway station. This could be the starting point for your honeymoon in Jammu if prefer it over Kashmir’s travel-worn destinations. The drive from Jammu to Patnitop is an experience by itself and the 100 km journey could take two hours that seem to pass all too quickly. Patnitop is surrounded by lush green forests with mountains peeking over the top. The local attractions are freshwater springs, Shiva Garh, and a 600-year-old Naag temple. Spend a day at Sanasar, just 19 km from Patnitop. It is quiet and serene with the scenery just magnificent to keep you spellbound. If the mood takes you it is possible to go up to Batote a tiny picturesque town high up in the mountains and an ideal place to spend quality moments together.
