The Chardhams of Uttarakhand consist of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath and are a holy replica of the India Chardham circuit. Yamunotri Dham is an abode of Goddess Yamuna and the source of the River Yamuna, Gangotri Dham belongs to Goddess Ganga and is the sacred source of the River Ganges, Kedarnath Dham belongs to Lord Shiva, and Badrinath Dham belongs to Lord Vishnu. Hindus often feel spiritually obligated to embark on the Chardham yatra, the true roadway to ‘Moksha’. Even if the Chardham yatra cannot be undertaken, the Do Dham yatra of Uttarakhand or the Ek Dham yatra of Uttarakhand falls no less in terms of spiritual significance or utility.

The ‘Panch Badri’ Pilgrimage trip is another popular pilgrim trip of Uttarakhand apart from the Chardham yatra and Panch Kedar yatra. Badrinath Dham along with the other four dhams dedicated to Lord Vishnu constitute the ‘Panch Badris’. The other four dhams include Bhavishya Badri, Yogyadhyan Badri, Vridha Badri, and Adi Badri. Apart from these, there are many other Vishnu temples dotting the holy land of Uttarakhand such as Triyuginarayan, Umra Narayan temple etc
